Tax Levy Hearing

A hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday August 18, 2026, at 209 W. Main Street and citizens will be given a chance to be heard on the proposed tax rates to be set by the City of Cleveland, Missouri, a political subdivision. The tax rates shall be set to produce the revenues which the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, shows to be required from property tax. The tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current assessed valuation. The result is multiplied by 100 so the tax rate will be expressed in cents per $100 valuation.
